Stephen Mills

Mr. Mills served as an active duty non-commissioned officer in the United States Marine Corps from 1992-1996; during such time he held leadership positions requiring oversight of up to thirty Marines, both at the Marine Barracks and in Washington, D.C. as well as in the Fleet Marine Force.

Mr. Mills currently works as a senior sales manager in the medical device industry where he manages a sales territory and oversees the account growth with the central and southern Virginia market. His leadership experience and current role in the medical device industry positions him well for the role of Executive Director. Mr. Mills has earned a Bachelor of Arts from Widener University in Government and Politics.

William Pollitz

Mr. Pollitz is a retired Navy Commander with 35 years of service.  Enlisting in 1979 he served in submarines until he was commissioned (1992) while serving as Engineering Senior Enlisted Advisor in USS HONOLULU SSN718. Commissioned tours included five Aircraft Carriers and one Sub tender highlighted by accomplishments including: Secretary of Defense Maintenance Award (2000, 2006, 2009). Carrier Team One Leadership Award for maintenance excellence (2004) Project Management Institute Project of the Year Award (2005) and The Navy and Marine Association Leadership award (2010.) CDR(R) and Mrs. Pollitz have been happily married for 34 years and currently reside in Newport News, VA.

Walter Romano

Mr. Romano served on active duty in the US Navy where he was a Naval Flight Officer and flew EA-6B aircraft.  As a US Navy reservist, he held numerous leadership positions such as Chief of Staff, Executive Officer and Operations Officer in several commands. Mr. Romano currently serves as a government contractor and has over 25 years’ experience in successfully delivering IT programs for both large and small consulting companies. Mr. Romano has earned a Master of Science degree in Management and is a certified Program Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), and a Lean Six sigma Green Belt.

Mark Sells

Mr. Sells is a U.S. Army Veteran who was with the 82nd Airborne Division from 1983-1985 as a MANPADS crew chief.  In 1989 Mark received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Pfeiffer University.

Mr. Sells has worked in Federal Law Enforcement for 26 years with assignments in Miami, FL, Raleigh, NC, Washington DC and Richmond VA.  Over his career he’s worked in numerous international and domestic locations and held progressively responsible management and leadership positions in tactical operations, emergency management and planning.

Mark is a veteran of 60 plus endurance races ranging from marathon and ultra-marathons to multiday adventure races.

Patrick VanLandingham

Mr. VanLandingham is a co-founder and board member of Operation Enduring Warrior (OEW).  He initially served as the non-profit’s VP of Finance, then helped navigate OEW through initial establishment and into operations.  He now sits on the Board of Directors guiding its management team.  Outside of OEW, Mr. VanLandingham is a Senior Account Executive with a consulting firm helping large companies accelerate success with their critical business initiatives.  He has over 20 years’ experience in business and consulting.  Mr. VanLandingham graduated from George Mason University with a degree in Economics.  Today, he resides in Richmond, Virginia.
