Anthony Busko – Business Manager
Anthony (Tony) Busko is currently an Active Duty senior NCO in the United States Army. Joining the Army right out of High School in 1996, he has served in a diverse range of units from Long Range Surveillance to direct support in Special Forces. Tony has deployed to many areas around the world including 5 times to the Balkans, South America, and multiple tours in Afghanistan. As a communications NCO he posses a diverse knowledge and understanding of both practical and managerial aspects of IT and best practices.
Operation Enduring Warrior is Tony’s first foray into charity work, but it is one he has embraced whole heartedly. Being able to support and assist wounded veterans has given him a renewed sense of purpose and drive that was sorely lacking. The nature of the work that Operation Enduring Warrior does fits in well with his professional ethic and personality, and he looks forward to a long tenure with the organization.
Kelly Farmer- VP of Communication
Kelly joins the OEW officer team after two years of Community Ambassadorship and numerous athletic events with the team. She brings more than twenty years of career experience from a wide variety of business industries; including non-profit, government contracting, higher education and financial services. Marketing, press relations and public speaking have followed her career in all areas of business.
Kelly’s military ties began with her father’s service in the U.S. Army and continued as a military spouse of 20 years. Her husband retired in 2007 from 3rd SFG(A) Fort Bragg, NC. For many years she found herself envious of her husband’s contribution to society through his military career. She longed to feel as if she was contributing passion, motivation and inspiration on a daily basis and sought for something that would inspire her from within. Operation Enduring Warrior first hit her radar in 2012 on the OCR circuit at a Spartan Race event. The experience was both enthralling and humbling and elicited an immediate connection. After watching from afar for two years she joined as an OCA in Summer 2014 and began making lifelong connections among the OEW family.
“I know I’ve found my niche and true passion. I am driven to do anything possible to help further grow this organization into the positive, inspirational, life-changing outlet so many of our veterans need.”
Richard Jacob – VP of Logistics
Richard is currently a member of the South Carolina Army National Guard on active duty in the United States Army. He joined in 2002 and has served in multiple roles including company commander, embedded tactical team supply officer and battalion personnel officer. His service includes an extended combat deployment to Afghanistan, 2 deployments to Kosovo, and a deployment to Saudi Arabia. Richard brings skills in mechanical equipment fabrication/repair and resource management and as well experience in leadership, operational planning, and training from his time in the military and his educational background.
Richard has volunteered for several organizations in the past but found few as rewarding as working with Operation Enduring Warrior. Where most non-profit groups focus on providing for the financial needs of their beneficiaries, he has found working to empower wounded service members as a member of the OEW team far more gratifying. He is honored to assist in providing a support network that offers wounded veterans an opportunity to overcome obstacles in a team environment where they are able to regain self-confidence and understand that their injuries may require them to adapt, but do not signify the necessity to abandon their goals.
Ray Liberto – VP of Fundraising
